2020 Winter Special Training EastTrinity Washington University

· Check-in Friday 5-7:30 PM at the Trinity Center Gym
· First practice starts at 8:00 PM, Friday, Last practice will end by 12 noon Sunday.
· Requested Fee: $200 if received by January 1 and increases to $225 if received later. (Checks should be made out to “SKA-DC”). This fee includes the traditional $175 SKA Winter ST cost plus $25 requested donation to the BBC so that the ST cost is fully covered for the East Winter ST.
· If you cancel within 2 weeks of Special Training (after January 17) you will forfeit the cost of your housing plus the cancelation fee ($110+25=$135) unless the reason is an unexpected illness (e.g., flu) or family emergency, due to the inability for us to recoup your rooming cost within 2 weeks of Special Training. If you have a chronic, known injury, decide whether to commit to attend ST, or not, ahead of time. · The cost includes room. Note: No meals provided. Free parking provided on campus.
· If flying, fly into Reagan National Airport between 2:00 and 6:30 pm on Friday for pick-up. Plan departures from Reagan National for 2 pm or later on Sunday.

Details on Rooms and Amenities Dorm rooms are located in Kerby Hall in the dorm conference center; Rooms are double and triple person rooms; Each room has a shower, mini-refrigerator, microwave, desks, chairs, closet. Sheets, blankets, pillows, and towels are provided by the facility. You may want to bring a sleeping bag if you get cold at night No Provided Meals. There are mini-refrigerators in each room so you can bring your own food and/or go out to nearby restaurants (~ ½ mile away)
Arrival at Special Training Sign in at the Trinity Center Gym from 5-7:30 pm, to pick up your room and building entry keys. If driving, you can park in front of the gym for a few minutes to check in if there are spaces available, then drive your car up the hill (~1/4 mile) to the parking lot adjacent to the dorm Lot 5. Practices will be held in the Trinity Center (Gym). A campus map is provided below.

Directions to Trinity
Trinity is easily accessible via public transportation or car.
By DC Metrorail/Trinity Shuttle
Trinity is close to the Brookland/CUA Metro station on the Metro red line.
Union Station is an Amtrak east coast hub train station in DC. You can transfer to the Metro red line at Union Station.
To catch the Trinity University shuttle at the Brookland/CUA station, exit to the right. At the top of the escalator, turn left and walk to the end of the iron railing and wait for the shuttle with the Trinity logo on the side.
By Automobile
From the Northeast: From I-95 take I-495 South. Follow 495 to exit 19B, Route 50 West/Washington. Follow Route 50 West approximately five and one half miles to South Dakota Avenue and turn right onto South Dakota. Follow South Dakota one and one half miles to Monroe Street. On the right corner is a sign posted for Trinity and the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Turn left onto Monroe and follow Monroe, staying in left lane, approximately two miles until Monroe dead ends into Michigan Avenue. Turn left onto Michigan and proceed a short distance passing the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception on your right. Cross Irving Street, and Trinity College will be on the left.
From the South: From I-495 (the Washington Beltway), take Exit 4B, 395 North, Washington. Continue on 395 North. Watch the exit signs. After Exit 10, get in the right-hand lanes (after Exit 11, the road divides and the left-hand lanes funnel onto Route 1). Continue on 395 North. Watch the exit signs carefully but do not take any of them, as you want to remain on 395. Continue on 395 North (follow signs) until it ends at New York Avenue. Turn right onto New York Avenue. Go through 2 traffic lights, take first right-hand turn after 2nd light (this is M Street). Continue on M Street for a short distance; at 2nd traffic light, make a left-hand turn onto North Capitol Street. Proceed approximately 1 mile; at 8th traffic light make a right-hand turn onto Michigan Avenue. Trinity College is on the right after first traffic light.
